Bart Stupak--Sick Motherfucker!
It comes to my attention that Bart Stupak claims to be pro-Life. The origin of this rant is that this "pro-life" dickhead claims enough votes to stop health care bill over abortion.
Health care is a "pro-life" concept even if it has provisions for abortion on demand. As I said before:
Anyway, if you didn't know it, Stupak's son, BJ, killed himself with a firearm on May 14, 2000. Yet does this asshole do anything about trying to prevent gun violence? fuck no? In fact, the fucker blamed accutane rather than the gun.
I've got news for you, Dickhead, I've gone through two courses of accutane and only came out of it with a bad sunburn.
But I had two things going for me, I wasn't mentally ill and I didn't have access to a firearm.
Instead of trying to stop other senseless deaths, it seems that Stupak claims to be "pro-life". That means he works to curtail women's access to birth control and if they have a "whoops": safe abortions. That means they would ultimately have to find some illegal source to terminate the unwanted pregnancy which could result in serious injury or death.
I guess he's one of those "kill a doctor for life" crowd.
There is a really sick trend in the US to calling yourself "pro-life" yet instead of doing things that promote and work to make life better, they try to make life hard for people. They want to punish. Punish women for having sex.
If men got pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament.
An unborn baby is an "innocent life", yet Stupak's fucked up son wasn't worth putting his guns in a gun safe. Get the picture?
Naw, I'm not cynical or biased, these sick bastards will treat victims of gun death as scum the moment they get popped.

What fools these mortals be!
I have to admit that dealing with the gun cretins on MikeB's blog has been amusing, but I am beginning to get tired of it all.
It's pretty obvious that these people have no idea what they are talking about especially when these people are too fucking stupid to understand what they are commenting on.
That's where the Dred Scott post originated. One of these bozos thought they could persuade me that the Second Amendment was an individual right (whatever that means) by pulling one of most disreputable Supreme Court Cases. Dred Scott is considered to be the product of an overly ideological and reactionary judge relying on poor scholarship and weak legal reasoning in an effort to shape public policy.
To be quite honest if you have to rely on dicta from a case which is cited as an example of poor scholarship and weak legal reasoning, you are only showing yourself out to be a complete and total fuckwit.
That's not very persuasive of anything other than you are a complete and total fuckwit!
Anyway, more proof of a lack of understanding and comprehension comes from this "person":

Not to mention they will call you all sorts of names if you disagree with them and come around and harass you until you give up or accept their point of view.

Again Weer'd Beard made a comment about me going to Law School in ridicule. As I said in a prior post, I think he is too much of a fuckwit to realise that was a compliment. Additionally, he was showing his ignorance by refusing to accept my expertise and using it to ridicule me.
If anything they want to force their opinions on others no matter how incorrect they are. They want to come here and post comments. The Dred Scott thing is a good case in point, these assholes want to prove that Dred Scott proves an individual right when it doesn't show dick. And they keep insisting it supports their point of view!

They have their own little circle jerks all over the net, which is one of the reasons I don't want to share my space with their idiotic comments.

Such as the person who worked at the Capitol brought a gun to work and was caught when the cop questioned him about his concealed carry badge. A tourist who asks police at the Capitol where they can park their car since they have guns in the trunk.
My fav was the guy who went to Georgetown dressed as Hitler on Halloween with a real gun in a holster. Just imagine the time he had in the DC jail waiting to be bailed out!

Guns are too entrenched in American culture to be 'banned' . For this reason American guns will carry on killing and killing and killing and killing innocent victims for decades to come.
Thanks to diehards like Rthur, we are reminded that every US citizen has the right to be killed by a fellow, gun-carrying American. There is no number of innocent deaths sufficient to make gun nuts question their 'rights'.

A serious question about Melanie Hain
Did she actually practise shooting her gun, or did she just carry it and expect it would save her from harm?
The reason I mention this is that I used to blow through about 500 rounds a day on the range in practise when I carried.
These comics come from “Concealed Carry,” a comic drawn by the incomparable Mike Brace and written by Frank Naif. “Concealed Carry” appears in the Horrors Of War comic anthology produced by the DC Conspiracy comics collective, a bunch of super blokes in Washington, DC who make comics, drink beer, and get into barroom brawls.
I think they make the point really well of what the pros have to face when they carry, but somehow civvies aren't held to the same standard.
Yo, Frank and Mike, I owe you two quite a few beers for this. Is the Rathskeller OK? Go crazy on the Belgian brews at my expense.

Meleanie Hain was the pistol-packing mama who gained national prominence by insisting on wearing her loaded Glock 25 to her children’s soccer games. She solidified her role as gun-rights media icon by filing a $1 million lawsuit against Lebanon County PA Sheriff Michael DeLeo for revoking her gun carrying permit (for “bad judgement”). Meleanie Hain blamed DeLeo for, among other things, emotional distress and hurting the babysitting service she ran in her loaded-gun laden house.
The story of gun-rights advocate Hain ended both tragically and ironically. According to the Huffington Post, Meleanie’s husband Scott “used his own gun to fire several shots into his 30-year-old wife, Meleanie, while her video chat was active and perhaps as she washed dishes in their kitchen, police said. Scott Hain, 33, later killed himself in an upstairs bedroom.”

I don’t know the answer in regard to gun control. Personally, I like shooting guns. I did a fair amount of target shooting when I was younger and I’ve shot nearly every style and caliber of pistol, rifle and shotgun… and enjoyed it. While I’ve never hunted (and would rather not) I’m not opposed to or bothered by hunting. And I’ll admit that I’m not sure where the line between public (and private) safety ends and personal liberty begins.
But just because I like guns doesn’t blind me to the fact that gun violence is a big, big problem. And it seems to me that the people who could be most helpful in addressing these serious issues refuse to acknowledge that they are obvious and serious issues. These self-proclaimed “patriots” and NRA cult members use their (unfortunately) considerable clout to automatically oppose and shoot down anything that hints of gun control regulation… or anything that might lead to it.
If you read the entries on the forum where Meleanie Hain was active, you’ll see that the PA Patriots refuse (or are unable… unwilling… or scared to…) acknowledge:
… the irony of holding a memorial shoot for the orphans of two shooting victims
… the irony of a mother being killed by that which she professed would keep her safe
… the fact that those who were afraid of the potential of gun violence were, in this case, correct
… that in a country where more than half of all marriages end in divorce, homes stocked with loaded weapons are a seriously hazardous to the health of the entire family.
What’s truly scary is that the PA gun-toting patriots have really learned nothing – and will learn nothing – from the death of their friend. They will simply demonize the distraught husband (“burn in hell” is their online refrain), feel like they are caring and compassionate by donating the hot dog and hamburger proceeds to the orphans, and then stock up on guns and ammo at Heberling’s Gun Shop to bring home to their happy households.
Until the next one qualifies for their very own memorial shoot.

The judge who restored Meleanie Hain’s concealed-weapon permit last year questioned her judgment and said she had “scared the devil” out of other parents at the soccer field.

A Simple Question about Melanie Hain.
Would she be dead if there were not firearms in her house?
She wasn't killed with a flyswatter, mousetrap, pencil sharpener, piece of paper, cross bow, knife, brass knuckles, axe, machete, chain saw, stapler, toothbrush, or frying pan.

So, why do the gun cretins try to hide that point?
Precisely because their arguments are based upon lies. Actual defensive gun use is a very rare event, as opposed to the anecdotal incidents provided by the gun cretins.
Kleck and Lott are discredited surveys. In fact, John Lott makes Michael Bellesiles look positively honest, yet there are few screams from the lynch mob who went after Bellesiles for Lott's position. Google Mary Rosh next time you feel the urge to use "More Guns, More Crime" as a source when you try to argue with someone knowledgable about the issue.
The problem is that the better statistics that exist are on the side of gun control. Those being that a gun in the home will more likely harm a family member, Carrying a gun increases risk of getting shot and killed, defensive gun use is rare, and a woman is more likely to be killed by someone with a gun in a domestic situtation.
Sorry, but the numbers were against her.
But the gun cretin crowd wants to keep it so that it appears there aren't valid reasons for gun control. You can't show that most crime guns are purchased "legally" if gun trace data isn't available courtesy of the Tiahrt Amendment. You can't show gun laws work if you can't show the links between the legal sources of crime guns. You can't argue that people are more likely to be killed with their own guns with inflated numbers like those provided by Kleck's surveys. It's easier to hide under false statistics such as Kleck and Lott when there isn't a source of valid data to contradict those studies.
But, it's pretty obvious that the gun cretin crowd wants to hide from the simple fact that Melanie Hain was killed by a gun she hoped would provide her with protection.
Also another sorry, but the guns could have been taken from the home under the current weak gun laws. There was no reason for those firearms to be in her home other than her perceived "Second Amendment" (Actually it is under Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution's Declaration of Rights: The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned) and her belief that her gun would be used to defend herself from unknown assailants.

Melanie Hain was a hazard to her community, People questioned her mental health, and she was in an abusive relationship. Yet, despite these facts, there were handguns in their home.
Mental illness and abusive relationships are reasons for the gun to be removed from the home under current law. Being a hazard to the community welfare should be a disqualifier, but some judge unfortunately saw fit to allow her a permit to carry a concealed weapon even though it was revoked by the sheriff for cause.
The gun cretins keep saying "enforce the laws on the books", yet there were laws which were not enforced. The gun cretins cheered when Hain's gun permit was returned to her.
The gun laws in the US don't work because they aren't allowed to work. The gun cretins do everything in their power to make sure they are ineffective.

Shit, her husband used his own gun to kill her. Melanie had hers in her backpack as she was on a web chat, probably saying how good it is to have a gun in the house!
As you know, I was hoping that Scott would have grabbed Melanie's gun and popped her with it.
Problem, Scott Hain was a parole officer, he was not law enforcement. SO, he could have been barred from having a gun. In fact, if Melanie had the PFA (protection from Abuse) order, he would have had to have turned in his weapon: even if he were a cop.
So, sorry, gun cretins, but if the gun control options, even the worthless ones on the books as of now, were utilised. Melanie Hain's children would not be orphans.
You assholes really need to rethink your position as it is becoming obvious that it is not based in reality.
